Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations
Rüdiger Weber looks back on more than 25 years of experience in contract packaging and distribution of investigational medicinal products. Rüdiger is a pharmacist by training and since 1995 registered as Qualified Person (QP) at the German Health Authority. He is member of the European Qualified Person Association.
As the SVP Clinical Operations, Rüdiger leads the Clinigen Clinical Supplies Management operational activity in the EU and US, striving for the highest levels of quality, service, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Rüdiger joined CSM, which later became part of Clinigen Group, in 2016. His past companies include Theorem Clinical Research where he headed the Clinical Supplies department since 1997 and became General Manager for the German Theorem Clinical Research CRO unit in 2009. Prior to that, Rüdiger held a similar appointment for another CRO. He received his Pharmacist's degree from Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg, Germany.
Vice President of Marketing and Sales
David Fontaine brings over 20 years of experience in business development to the Clinigen Clinical Supplies Management team. As the Vice President of Global Marketing and Sales, Fontaine leads the sales and marketing department in Europe and the US.
Prior to the acquisition of B&C Group by CSM, which later became part of Clinigen Group, David was Chief Business Development Officer at B&C Group for about two years where he helped build the business into a leading global clinical service provider with operations in the US and Europe. Before that, David spent about five years as Managing Director and co-founder of a renewable energy business company. Past roles include over eight years with GSK Vaccines where he was in charge of R&D Partnering and Licensing and four years of business development with biotech companies, Rhein Biotech, and Berna Biotech.
David is originally from Belgium and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in International Business from the ESEJ Business College (Belgium) and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Maastricht University (The Netherlands).
Director of Services Commercial Operations, Clinigen Group
Jennifer Lauinger leads the Proposals and Business Intelligence teams across our Clinigen Clinical Supplies Management and Managed Access businesses in the US, UK and Europe. Her responsibilities include planning, pricing, CRM enablement and sales analytics for the Services division.
Jennifer has over 18 years of experience working in proposals and contracts. During her tenure with CSM, which later became part of Clinigen Group, she has held roles of increasing responsibility as the business grew to become a global leader in clinical trial supplies solutions. As Director of Commercial Operations for the Services division, Jennifer drives and mentors her team to ensure that priorities are aligned with the company vision and objectives while working closely with the leadership team to meet the corporate goals.
Vice President of Client Services
Jean Bowtell leads the Account Management and Project Management teams based in the US and Europe. Her role focuses on supporting and driving the team to deliver world-class customer service with creative, innovative ideas while developing client relationships and enabling global process efficiencies.
Jean joined Clinigen back in 2012, working on the comparator sourcing team managing the US accounts. She developed into the Head of the US client-facing team in 2016, and in 2018 began to manage the EU group as well, bringing harmonization across both sides of the pond. Jean’s career has always been on the service side; prior to Clinigen, working at varied CROs, in the clinical trial management space.
Jean has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology as well as Psychology from Rutgers University in New Jersey.
